    Projects and stories for campaigns

Projects bundle the stories of a campaign or a print product, with time range, topic and strategy, and all posts in the canvas.

Available in all plans. Active projects: Free 1, Pro 50, Agentic unlimited.

    Afterwards you have:

Under Content → Projects you create a campaign or a print medium with New Project and assign stories to it. All posts of these stories then belong to the project.

Project canvas with one row per story and its posts

    What is this about?

Projects are optional and help with larger undertakings. A project bundles stories, i.e. the content strands of a campaign. Each story contains the posts for your channels. A story belongs to at most one project; this means its posts also belong to exactly this project.

    There are two project types:

    • Campaign: public communication campaign with a canvas view.
    • Print medium: print product with pages in newspaper or magazine style.

    Step by step

    1. Create a project. Open Content → Projects and click New Project. Enter a Project name and optionally a Description, choose the Project type and click Create.
    2. Assign stories. Open the project and click Add stories. Alternatively, you assign a story directly under Content → All Stories & Posts via its project button (it shows No project as long as there is no assignment).
    3. Add details. Via Show details and Edit details you maintain Period, Topic, Storyline, Strategy, Planned posts and Additional notes. Projects from Editorial Planning already come with this information.
    4. Check the content. In the Stories, Posts and Channels tabs you see the project’s content from different angles.
    5. Work in the canvas. With Open in Canvas you see each story as a separate row with its posts; each post card shows the channel. Clicking a post opens it for editing.
    6. Jump between post and project. In the post window, a project card shows which project the post belongs to. Clicking it opens the project.

The Print medium project type also has the Pages tab. There you create pages, choose a grid per page (such as full page, two columns or lead story with two news items) and drag posts into the fields. In the canvas you switch between Edit and Read; the reading view pages through like a printed magazine. Via Create print PDF you get a print-ready PDF with a selectable format (A4, A3, Tabloid), bleed and crop marks. You can change the project type later via Change project type.

    Limits

    • Active projects per plan: Free 1, Pro 50, Agentic unlimited. Once the limit is reached, you cannot create another project; excess projects remain locked, the oldest remain accessible. More on this under Pricing.
    • Archive instead of delete: Via Archive you remove a project from the active list; with Restore you bring it back. Archived projects don’t count towards the limit.
    • Deleting: When deleting, you can also remove the content with Also delete assigned posts. Without this option, the posts are kept.
    • Print media in the statistics: Print medium projects don’t appear in the project statistics because they don’t deliver reach data.

    Tips

    • Create a separate project for each campaign. This lets you filter content by project in the calendar, in All Stories & Posts and in the PDF report.
    • If a post is missing from the project, check whether its story is assigned to the project and whether you are working in the right workspace.

    Frequently asked questions

Can a post be in several projects?

No. Via its story, a post belongs to exactly one project. It can, however, appear in several editorial plans.

How do I set a goal for a project?

Projects don’t have their own goal field. You capture the framework of a campaign in the project details, for example under Strategy or Additional notes.
