A channel consists of basic settings and channel objects. In Content creation mode these are brand voice, content structure, target audiences, languages, AI model and knowledge stores; in Workflow mode, post-processing, media pipelines, approvals and publishing.

What is this about?
A channel is a combination of basic settings and several channel objects. Each object controls a different part of the finished post. The objects (e.g. a brand voice or a knowledge store) belong to the workspace and can be used in several channels. In the channel, you only link them.
You see and edit all objects in the channel canvas. It has two modes: Content creation („Inhaltserstellung“) and Workflow. The canvas saves changes automatically.
The building blocks of a channel
Basic settings (Basic settings („Grundeinstellungen“) button at the top of the canvas)
- Master data („Stammdaten“): image and name of the channel.
- Description („Beschreibung“) and Channel type („Kanal-Typ“), such as LinkedIn, newsletter or blog.
- Via Advanced settings („Erweiterte Einstellungen“) you get to the classic channel view.
Content creation mode: what the text is created from
| Object | Selection | What it controls |
|---|---|---|
| Brand Voice („Markenstimme“) | exactly one | Tone, style, choice of words, no-go words |
| Content Structure („Inhaltsstruktur“) | exactly one | Structure, length, formatting of the post |
| Target Audiences („Zielgruppen“) | several | Tone of address, examples, line of argument |
| Languages („Sprachen“) | several | The language or languages in which posts are created |
| AI Model („KI-Modell“) | exactly one | Text model and creativity; models with notes such as “No data storage” and providers with EU data storage are marked |
| Knowledge Stores („Wissensspeicher“) | several | Facts and documents drawn on during generation |
In addition, there is the AI disclosure station (apply the workspace default, or always or never label for the channel) and the Test generation („Test-Generierung“).
Workflow mode: what happens after the text is created
| Object | What it controls |
|---|---|
| Post-processing („Nachverarbeitung“) | Routines that further edit the draft, such as proofreading, SEO or translation |
| Media Pipelines („Medien-Pipelines“) | How images or videos are created for the post; with the Automatic media generation switch for every new post |
| Approvals | Whether posts must be confirmed before publishing |
| Publishing („Veröffentlichung“) | The channel connection(s) used for publishing |
Step by step
- Open the channel. Go to Content → Channels and click the channel. The channel canvas opens in Content creation mode.
- Set the required objects. Choose at least brand voice, content structure and AI model. Without these three, the test generation does not start.
- Add recommended objects. Link target audiences, languages and knowledge stores. The channel also works without them, but the results become more generic.
- Test. Enter a topic in the Test generation tile and click Start test („Test starten“). The test generation only creates text, without media and post-processing.
- Set up the workflow. Switch to Workflow at the top. If needed, attach post-processing and media pipelines and link a channel connection under Publishing. Without a channel connection, the tile shows the notice that posts cannot be published.

Tips
- If the content doesn’t fit, it is usually down to the knowledge store or the target audience. If the tone is wrong, adjust the brand voice. If length or structure are wrong, the content structure.
- Remove in a tile only removes the link. The object remains in the workspace.
- When creating via Manual Configuration, an assistant guides you through basic settings, brand voice, content structure, target audience, knowledge store, media pipeline and publishing. You set languages, AI model and post-processing afterwards in the canvas.
- On a smartphone, the app opens the classic channel view instead of the canvas.
