Open Plan → Publishing and click the affected channel connection. For an interrupted connection, the notice “Connection interrupted” appears with the Reconnect now button. Then you sign in to the platform and grant access again.
This page was translated from the German original. The labels in your app are authoritative.

What is this about?
Platforms revoke access, for example after a password change, when the authorization expires or when you remove the app on the platform. The channel connection can then no longer publish. The channel itself, with its brand voice, target audiences and posts, is not affected. You only renew the access.
In ALLMEDIA.AI, reconnecting means: you sign in to the platform again within the existing channel connection. The connection stays linked to its channels.
Step by step
- Check the status. Open Plan → Publishing (in the settings: Publishing → Channel connections). The dot on each card shows the state: green for OK, yellow for “Token expiring soon”, red for “Token issue” or a deactivated connection. If you hover over it, you see the status as text.
- Open the channel connection. Click the affected card. If the access has expired or been disconnected, the dialog shows the notice “Connection interrupted” at the top, when it was last checked and, if available, the platform’s error message.
- Reconnect. Click Reconnect now or, in the account area, Refresh account connection. The platform’s sign-in opens. Sign in with the right account and confirm the requested permissions.
- Check destination and status. After returning, check whether the right account or page is shown and the status is “Connected” again. The Linked channels tab shows which channels use the connection.
- Republish failed posts. After reconnecting, scheduled posts go out via the connection again. Posts whose publishing failed during the interruption must be published again afterwards.

Disconnecting: three ways with different effects
| What you do | Where | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Unlink the connection from the channel | Channel canvas, Workflow mode, Publishing („Veröffentlichung“) tile | Only the link is removed. The channel connection remains and can be assigned to other channels. |
| Deactivate the connection | Switch on the card under Plan → Publishing | The connection no longer publishes. It still occupies a slot in your quota. |
| Delete the connection | Menu More actions → Delete on the card | Permanent. Channel assignments, analytics data and scheduled publications of this connection are lost. Only then is the slot in the quota freed up. |
For some directly integrated connection types, the dialog also has a Disconnect button that only removes the account sign-in.
Tips
- Connect a different account: Sign out of the platform first. Otherwise the sign-in automatically uses the account you are currently logged in with.
- Pages and company profiles: For a company page you need a role on the platform that allows publishing. Otherwise the page does not appear for selection after signing in.
- App from the home screen: If you use ALLMEDIA.AI as an installed app, the platform sign-in only works in the browser. Open the app in the browser for this.
- Reconnect rather than delete: Deleting and recreating costs you the channel assignments and the connection’s analytics history.
Frequently asked questions
Are scheduled posts lost if the connection is interrupted?
No. They remain saved but cannot be published while the connection is interrupted. Scheduled publications are only lost if you delete the channel connection.
The connection shows “Over limit”. What does that mean?
You have more active channel connections than your plan allows. The most recently added connections can then not publish. Delete connections you don’t need, book an additional channel connection for €5 per month or change your plan (Unlock more channel connections).
