Each channel connection has its own limits for text length, images, videos and formats. ALLMEDIA.AI shortens generated texts to the platform limit and, before publishing, checks length, number of media, media mix and required titles.
This page was translated from the German original. The labels in your app are authoritative.
What is this about?
A post that fits LinkedIn is too long for X and cannot be published on YouTube without a video. That is why each channel connection in ALLMEDIA.AI has its own limits: maximum number of characters, number of images and videos, video length and the possible post formats. On some platforms, images and video cannot be combined in the same post.
ALLMEDIA.AI takes these limits into account in two places: during generation, the text is shortened to the character limit. Before publishing, the app checks text length, number of media, media mix and, where required, the title. If a limit is exceeded, you can only publish after correcting it. If there are too many hashtags, only a notice appears.

You can see which of these channel connections are available in your workspace under Plan → Publishing (Understanding channel connections).
Step by step
- Open the post. Open the post for the channel you want to publish. The applicable limits depend on the channel’s channel connection.
- Shorten the text. If the text exceeds the character limit, the app reports this when publishing. Shorten the text until the message disappears.
- Add a title. A title is required for YouTube, blog, CMS and newsletter connections. Without a title you cannot publish.
- Attach suitable media. Stay within the number of images and videos. On platforms that don’t allow combinations, attach either images or one video.
- Choose a format. If the channel connection offers several formats, such as Feed Post, Reel and Story on Instagram, you choose the format when publishing.
- Publish or schedule. Publish right away or schedule the post in the calendar.
Tips
- Plan videos in 9:16 portrait format. This works for Instagram Reels and Stories, TikTok, Facebook Reels and YouTube Shorts.
- For long texts, use blog or newsletter channels and link to them from the social channels.
- The length from the content structure is adjusted automatically on platforms with a character limit. For short platforms, a separate, concise content structure is still worthwhile (Defining content structures).
