You can delete your account yourself. It is first scheduled for deletion for 30 days and can be restored during that time. You find the DPA and the list of sub-processors on our privacy page.
This page was translated from the German original. The labels in your app are authoritative.
What is this about?
If you work with customer data and brand content, you need to know how it is processed. This article shows which data privacy features exist in the app and where you find the legal documents.
Note: This article describes features in the product and is not legal advice. Please clarify with your data protection or legal advisor whether your use complies with data protection law.
Legal documents
On our Privacy page you find the privacy policy. There you can also download the data processing agreement (DPA) and the list of sub-processors. The list states which service providers we use and for what.
Important for your assessment: for AI features and for publishing on social networks, we also work with providers from the USA, for example providers of AI models and the platforms themselves. Which ones these are is stated in the list of sub-processors.
Step by step: deleting your account
- Open your account. Click your profile picture at the top right and choose My Profile. At the very bottom of the Profile tab is the Delete Account area.
- Start deleting. Click Permanently delete account. The dialog shows what is deleted and what is retained for legal reasons.
- Confirm. To confirm, enter DELETE and your password. Optionally, choose Delete immediately and irreversibly (no restore possible).
- Check your email. Without immediate deletion, your account is scheduled for deletion for 30 days. You receive an email with the deletion date.
- Restore if needed. Sign in with your email within the 30 days. You receive an email with the Restore account link. This link is valid for 24 hours.
What happens when you delete
- During the 30 days: Sign-in is blocked; your data is kept. Scheduled posts become drafts, the subscription is cancelled at the end of the period and automatic top-up is paused. After a restore, you have to schedule the posts again.
- Deleted: posts and stories, projects, channels with settings, connected platforms, uploaded media, chat histories, API keys and your profile.
- Retained: accounting transaction data as well as purchase receipts and billing data at the payment provider Stripe. According to the deletion dialog, they are kept anonymized for 10 years.
- After 30 days: The account is automatically deleted permanently. The email address is then free for a new account.
You delete individual workspaces independently of the account, and immediately (see Delete or leave a workspace).
Data privacy features in the app
- Choose the AI provider per channel: When selecting the AI model in the channel, you see labels on data processing. No data storage means that the provider does not store your inputs. The region shows EU, US or Mixed. This lets you deliberately choose models with processing in the EU for sensitive channels.
- Your own AI access: You can add your own API keys for AI providers (see Adding your own AI credentials).
- Two-factor authentication: Under My Profile → Password & sign-in you set up sign-in with an authenticator app.
- Separate workspaces: The data of each workspace is separated at database level. Only members of the workspace have access, with the permissions of their role (see Workspace roles).
- Encrypted credentials: API keys and credentials for channel connections are stored encrypted.
- Activity log: Under Settings → Workspace → Activity, administrators see who did what in the workspace, for example invitations, role changes or changed posts. The log can be exported.
Limits
- There is no one-click full export of all your data. You export posts under Analyze → Reports as PDF, XLSX or CSV. With the backup add-on you back up entire workspaces.
- You submit GDPR access or export requests via site:/contact.
- There is no sign-in via SSO (SAML/OIDC).
Frequently asked questions
Do others still see my posts if I delete my account?
Until the final deletion after 30 days, workspaces and content are kept.
Will my subscription still be billed?
When scheduled for deletion for 30 days, the subscription is cancelled at the end of the current period. If you restore the account, it continues normally. The deletion dialog points out that amounts already paid are not refunded.
Where do I get a DPA?
You can download the data processing agreement on the Privacy page.
